Weightlifting

About Us

At Grand Junction Weightlifting Club, we believe in getting strong. We train to become better at the sport of Weightlifting(Snatch/Clean&Jerk). We utilize the exercises and training style of Olympic Weightlifting to become stronger, more powerful, and faster humans.

 

Weightlifting Area

Used solely for Weightlifting during open gym times and Weightlifting classes.  Area is open for use during Strenght&Conditioning Classes.

Strength and Conditioning Area

Strength&Conditioning area is used for Strength&Conditioning classes, is  open for use during open gym times, and is open for use during Weightlifting classes.

Coach Zybach

Coach Kevin Zybach has been participating and competing in weightlifting for over 9 years, and has also been coaching weightlifting since 2014.  Some of his weightlifting accomplishments include Master's American's champion, Master's National champion, Master's Pan-American champion, and 3 Master's national records.  Kevin is a USA Weightlifting certified weightlifting coach.  He is a happily married father of 3.  He is an 8 year U.S. Army veteran who served as a helicopter instructor pilot, and served two 15 month tours in Iraq.

What We Offer

Weightlifting Classes

Classes concentrating on improving the classic lifts, Snatch/Cleand&Jerk, with programming provided and coach present giving instruction where needed.  

Mon - Friday: 10:30am - 12pm

                         4:30pm - 6pm

Sat:                   10am - 1pm

Strength&Conditioning

Strength&Conditioning group classes for 8th grade through college age athletes. Learn how to properly move, get stronger, and get faster to become a better athlete. 

Mon - Fri: 9am - 10am

                  3:30pm - 4:30pm

Barbell with Weights

Open Gym

Mon - Fri:  5am - 9:30am

                  12pm - 3:30pm

                   6pm - 11pm

Sat:            5am - 9am

                   1pm - 11pm
